The Riverina High Schools tennis finals were held at the Deniliquin Lawn Tennis Club on Friday.

The day comprised eight of the best tennis teams from public high schools in the Riverina region - four teams of girls and four teams of boys.
Each had won their geographical section of the Riverina and were competing for the honour of representing Riverina at the state finals set to be held later in the year.
Deniliquin High School competed in the boys' section after winning the South West Riverina section, held recently at Hay.
The Deni High School team was made up of Jack McGrillen, Andrew Smith, Henry Robinson and Baxter Cowley.
Coolamon narrowly defeated Deniliquin in the first round by five sets to three sets, in a competitive set of rubbers.
Albury convincingly defeated Wade High School in the first round.
In the final, Albury High School dominated Coolamon High School, winning six sets and 36 games to Coolamon’s zero sets and five games.
Albury High School has been undefeated for the past few years.
They will now again move onto the state finals.
The girls’ section comprised Hay, Griffith District, Billabong and Wagga High Schools.
The winners of the first round were Hay High School and Billabong High School.
In the final, Hay High School were dominant, winning six sets and 36 games to Billabong High School’s zero sets and 15 games.
This is the second year Hay High School has won the south-west Riverina section.
Hay High School girls will now represent Riverina at the state titles.
