B-grade: Deni Rovers 46 defeated Berrigan 32.
It was great to get back on the court after two weeks off.
It didn’t take long for the Deni Rovers girls to get back into rhythm and they were comfortably ahead of Berrigan by the first break.
The mid court pressure applied by Sarah Purtill and Britt Kirby resulted in many turnovers.
Simone Lumbar and Carissa Bulmer had to work hard for their goals due to the strong Berrigan defence but were able to capitalise on most opportunities.
The Rovers’ defensive unit of Georgia Van Lieshout, Hazel Glowrey, Jemma Keast and Maddi Leetham, in her first game in GK, stood tall and were ruthless with any loose balls.
Again it was hard to pick the best players, as everyone played their part in a real team effort.
This win sets Deni Rovers up well for the remaining four games.

C-grade: Deni Rovers 66 defeated Berrigan 25.
The Deni Rovers girls were too strong for Berrigan in the first quarter, with the Rovers defenders Alicia Collison and Kelly Thorpe not conceding a goal.
Rovers headed into the second quarter with a 20-0 lead.
Berrigan clawed back in the second quarter, yet Rovers were able to match them and this continued in the third and final quarters.
The Rovers girls were patient with their passes and worked the ball well around the ring, to run away with a strong win.

C-Reserve: Deni Rovers 37 defeated Berrigan 31.
After three weeks away the Deni Rovers girls had a shaky start to the game against Berrigan.
Rovers were able to keep the lead the whole way through the game despite Berrigan making them fight for every ball.
The Rovers players were able to find their feet and finish off the game strongly.

Under 17s: Deni Rovers 58 defeated Berrigan 11
This week the Deni Rovers Under 17s only had half of their usual team with the Under 15s stepping up and Matilda Glowrey debuting too.
The girls adjusted well and settled into the first quarter of the match against Berrigan playing their own game.
There was excellent defensive pressure from Erika Martin for the Rovers, while Jemma Smith and Matilda Glowrey created many turnovers for the Rovers attackers to convert.
It was a brilliant game by Makayla Finn who was reading the play beautifully, allowing for an easy flow into the ring.
An outstanding team effort by all the Rovers girls — a strong four quarters reflected by the score.

Under 15s: Deni Rovers 17 defeated by Berrigan 28
It was a really awesome job by the Deni Rovers players in their match against Berrigan after a two-week break.
With some injuries, and teammates away, the Rovers team adjusted well with players in different positions.
Captain Hazel Glowrey kept the team steady as always.
Twelve-year-old Sienna Elphick made an obvious impact when she came on the court, while the new defence combination of Eliza Atley and Reagan Behsman worked well.

Under 13s: Deni Rovers 37 defeated Berrigan 7
Despite having two weeks off it was another impressive game this week by the Deniliquin Rovers girls in their match against Berrigan.
The Rovers started well and kept the lead the whole game.
There were many turnovers and intercepts that resulted in goals for the Rovers.
With Emily away, it was good to see Zarly step up and play a great defensive game.

Under 11s
The Rovers’ youngest Roos celebrated the league-wide Minis Day with goal-shooting competitions, egg and spoon, limbo and three-legged races.
The day recognises the importance of friendships and fun in sport.
It was fantastic to see sportsmanship shown on and off the court by the Rovers.
The Rovers dominated on the court in the match against Berrigan, with Lily Boyer, Nina Glowrey and Lara Horne taking home this week’s awards.
Special mention to Eva Maher who outshot everyone twice to win both goal-shooting competitions.
