The Saints had an early break with a bye and will be back strong for round three this weekend.
B Grade - Berrigan 26 lost to Picola 37.
With a mixture of young and senior players, our B graders played a strong game and fought hard. They did not let Picola take the match until the last quarter.
A great effort by all players and a positive look to the season ahead.

C Grade - Berrigan 26 lt Picola 56.
A strong Picola side was too good for the home team.
The Saints never stopped trying and did not drop their heads. As with all grades, they are excited about the season ahead.

C Reserve - Berrigan 33 def Picola 30.
A hard fought game by the girls, with the Saints coming out winners at the end of a good tussle.
It was fantastic to see some new players coming out for the season, including Amy Batten and Sophie Walsh playing alongside daughter Abby.
There was great leadership and guidance from Saints regulars such as Sam Henderson and Annie Cameron.

Under 17s - Berrigan 36 lt Picola 11.
It was a great start to the season for another Saints team.
All girls stepped up and showed good skills, teamwork, and commitment.

Under 15s - Berrigan 73 def Picola 4.
It was a strong start to the season for these Saints.
There was a lot of positive talk and pushing themselves from the start, applying good pressure for all four quarters.

There was wonderful flow in passages of play, a credit to this group that have never played together before. They are already showing great team spirit and commitment.

First game in and the girls’ enthusiasm showed how much they wanted to be there.
It is almost the same team as last year, with a couple of new players very welcomed.
Coach Sophie Walsh is looking forward to more development and loads of enjoyment from the girls.
