The Deniliquin Croquet Club’s season opening day on Sunday was well attended, with 23 players and extra club members.

The weather was cloudless and four members were three game winners.
Tony Bull was declared the winner on a countback from Allan Tonta, Alan Higgins and Andy Davis.
The two game achievers were Rex Kernich, Frank Conallin, Brian Dudley and Terry Murphy.
There were 10 jump shots, with one each to Leo Barry, Allan Tonta, Brad Fawns and Frank Conallin.
Andy Davis and Tony Bull scored two each.
The day was finalised with a members’ barbecue.
Another fine day on Wednesday saw 20 members play.
The lone three game winner was Terry Murphy.
The two game achievers were Fay Harrington - returning after an absence - as well as Alan Higgins, Brad Fawns, Rex Kernich, Andy Davis, Frank Conallin and Tony Bull.
There were five jump shots, with John James scoring two and Allan Tonta, Brad Fawns and Frank Conallin scoring one each.
Summer playing times are still in effect. Assemble at the Charlotte St courts at 8.30am for a 9am start.
