Seymour VRI claims weekend pennant premiership

Seymour VRI has ended its Goulburn Valley Playing Area campaign with silverware for the cabinet.

On Saturday, the side claimed the division three weekend pennant premiership thanks to a stellar 16-115 to 2-66 victory over Rushworth at Shepparton Park Bowls Club.

Seymour VRI secured crushing rink wins in three of the four sets of ends, underscored by Brendan Challis’ quartet storming to a 39-8 triumph in the first exchange.

Meanwhile, Yea wrapped up the division six flag with a commanding 14-61 to 2-52 win against Euroa.
