However, the group will take some positives away, with some great individual efforts from some of the young players in particular.
Levi Tran and Nick Taylor were strong, and other standouts from the day included Zak Thomson, Kyel Bain and Brodie Challis.
The effort was there all day, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the final score we wanted.

Reserves:
Despite the cold conditions, Blighty showcased remarkable determination and unity throughout the match.
While the result was not in our favour, every player put in a strong effort, displaying resilience and hard work from start to finish.
There were numerous highlights, with the team refusing to back down and maintaining a great attitude.
Special recognition goes to Clayton Winters, Will McCallum, Henry Michael, and Rhys Halls for their outstanding performances and unwavering commitment.
Also to John Mitchell for kicking his first goal of the season. A fantastic achievement and hopefully the first of many.
While the scoreboard may not have reflected the team’s effort, we take away many positives from this match.
The dedication and teamwork shown will serve as a solid foundation as we regroup and prepare to bounce back with renewed focus and determination.

Fifths:
It was a freezing start to the day, but that didn’t stop the little Redeyes.
After the first quarter, everyone was warmed up and running around.
Awards are hard to pick from, but the subway voucher went to Rooster. His sportsmanship was amazing, picking up players for the opposing team, even kicking a goal and doing his famous crow.
Olivia's attack on the ball and tackling pressure earned her an award.
Kayden's confidence is growing every week, and Hugh stops almost every goal coming down. He is a massive asset to our defence.
Jack's hunt for the ball and his ability to run and carry earned him the final award this week.
It was an amazing game from everyone.
