Tri members triumph in Echuca

Deni Triathlon Club had a great showing at the recent Echuca Multi Sports Weekend, with club members competing across both the junior and sprint triathlon events.

The junior triathlon was at Moama Beach, and saw 65 competitors take part.

Deni Tri Club’s youngest athletes - Jorja, Jake and Max Woolston - all put in fantastic performances, each finishing third in their respective age groups.

A great result and a big effort from the juniors.

The Saturday afternoon sprint triathlon took place in hot conditions.

Club members Samara Hynes, Bree Furze and Craig Woolston took on the challenge and all completed the race in solid, respectable times despite the conditions.

It was a tough race and a great effort by everyone involved.

Deni Tri Club trains at McLean Beach every Tuesday evening from 5.45pm through to the end of March.

It’s not too late to come along, have a go and see what triathlon is all about.

New members are always welcome.
