Until April the club will host regular and new performers in its popular beer garden at the club most Saturdays.
It a great opportunity for individuals and families to interact with live entertainment.
Jessica Lorraine, a 21 year-old self taught artist from Waaia, has been a part of the Saturday Sets since 2016 and will entertain tomorrow night.
Other artists to play in coming weeks will be Dakota Kate, Wounded Dogs, Abby Williams, Tim Richards, Simon Marks, Simon Ward, Ella Horne, Deniliquin band Northwesters and What’s Next Duo.
Each Saturday Set will run from 6pm to 10pm.
Jessica said the RSL has become a significant part of her history, as one of the first places to book her to perform.
She said it not only boosted her confidence but established her music career.
‘‘I feel supported (by the Deniliquin RSL Club), and it’s really nice to be supported by them,’’ she said.
‘‘I still come back here (to Deniliquin) to play at the club, it’s always fun.
‘‘I’ve made a few friends and I now have a regular crowd that show up to the gigs.’’
Jessica continues to play at a variety of venues, balancing her shows with producing original records.
‘‘I’m currently working on a few singles to freshen up the set,’’ she said.
‘‘I recently made a music video for my single ‘High IQ’ and I’m still working on an album.’’
Jessica advises the budding artists of today, ‘‘get out there and have a go’’.
‘‘It was petrifying for me (when I started) but it was what I wanted to do, so I said ‘yes’.
‘‘You can gain confidence and get some experience under your belt from gigs. Overall, give everything a go.’’
