Big celebration for local businesses

The Deniliquin Business Chamber hosted an evening of glitz and glamour for the Deniliquin and district business community at the Deniliquin RSL Club on Friday.

The activities for the Deniliquin Business Excellence Awards took up the whole top floor of the club, with a pre-event soiree in the Mountbatten room and a grand entrance in the foyer.

The main part of the evening was held in the Dunlop Room, where the crowd was entertained throughout the event by Edge FM’s Maria and Thomo, with the pair serving as MC’s for the evening.

The crowd of about 240 people were also left in stitches by a surprise stand-up comedy set by Melbourne comic Ben Lomas.
