Deniliquin RSL Bowling Club were unable to continue their wave of momentum in Division One of the Campaspe Valley Bowls Division, falling to a strong Tongala side 84 to 49 on Saturday.

Coming off the back of their second win of the season RSL struggled on their home greens, going down on all three rinks in the 35 shot overall loss.
Tony King, Chris Taylor, Ron Marchetti and Ken Wellard (s) were left floundering after a brilliant start by Tongala.
RSL were down 14 to 1 after seven ends and were never in the game at any stage.
Shots were traded for the remainder of the match but the start by the visitors proved decisive with RSL unable to recover.
Final score, Tongala 29 to RSL 14.
Brian Clancy, John Wilson, Tony Tonta and Terry Taylor (s) were always a chance in their match, but a brilliant finish over the final ends by Tongala proved the difference.
RSL were down 13 to 9 at the tea break before fighting their way back into the game to trail 19 to 17 with four ends to play.
Tongala stood tall on the final ends however, picking up seven shots to nil to claim the victory.
Final score, Tongala 26 to RSL 17.
The Daryl Weymouth combination of Mick Howe, Jenny Tonta and Larry Seely were never in their game, trailing 22 to 2 on the 13th end.
To RSL’s credit they out bowled their opposition in the second half of the game, but found the early break a daunting obstacle.

RSL will finish off their season with a their re-scheduled round 14 away clash against Rochester on Saturday.
RSL’s Division Three remain a slim finals chance, jumping up to fifth on the ladder following a one-shot thriller on the road against Elmore.
The visitors managed the overall 78 to 77 win despite only scoring the one rink win.
Cheryl Bradley, Lyn Hardcastle, Frank Daniels and skipper Glenn Thomson went shot for shot with their opposition and trailed 13 to 12 after 13 ends.
From that point on it was all one-way traffic, with Elmore scoring 19 shots to two to run out big winners.
Final score, Elmore 32 to RSL 14.
Alan Hodges, Jim Rhook, Neville Austin and Craig Taylor (s) went down in a tight game.
After the tea break RSL added 14 shots over seven ends to lead 15 to 8.
However the final four ends proved to be the difference, with Elmore grabbing 10 shots to record the victory.
Final score, Elmore 18 to RSL 15.
Miro Peterman, Chris Frampton, Tim Dover and Rod Reid (s) had an emphatic win.
Peterman lead beutifully as RSL raced to a hand 26 to 10 lead on the 13th end.
RSL maintained a consistent standard to run out to a 22 shot win, to hand their side the overall result.
Final score, RSL 39 to Elmore 17.
Division Three will face ladder leaders Rochester in a must-win game on Saturday.
RSL’s Division Five lost for just the second time this season, going down to a visiting Moama Green side by 51 shots.
The home side were well beaten on both rinks to suffer a 78 to 27 overall loss.
Sandra Hill, Albert Ford, Graham Gordon and Max Connor (s) were overwhelmed in their clash.
Moama started brilliantly and led 21 to 1 after 10 ends.
RSL staged a revival to win the next five end to move to 21 to 8.
That was the end of their fightback though, with Moama adding 12 shots to nil over the last four ends for a comprehensive victory.
Final score, Moama 39 to RSL 14.
Ernie Smith, Joan Tait, Alan Stonham and Bruce Clancy (s) were never in their contest, down 24 to 9 on the 13th end.
Moama only conceded seven ends overall and cruised to a comfortable victory.
Final score, Moama 39 to RSL 13.
Division Five will be on the road for the final round when they take on Elmore.
