A few changes at half time saw the Redeyes lift and show that they could run with the reigning premiers, but the damage was already done.
Meg Ericson was best on court for her first A grade game, and was excellent down in defence.

The B grade Redeyes started strongly with an 11 to 5 first quarter.
Courtney Plattfuss and Sophia Mitchell made the Deni defence work extremely hard.
Anna Druitt’s speed and positioning was outstanding and Deni didn’t have an answer to stop her today.
Kristeen Culton’s intercepts and rebounds made the many different combinations of the Deni goalers’ jobs extremely difficult and her driving down the midcourt set her shooters up to score well.
Prue Meharry’s pressure at WD gave Blighty some grief at times but Blighty seemed to find a great team flow through the game winning each quarter.
Final score, Blighty 44 to Deni Rovers 20.

A strong start from Rovers saw Blighty’s C grade playing catch up netball but good teamwork saw the girls only losing by nine.

Blighty’s Under 17s scored their first win of the season, defeating the Rovers by nine goals.
The Redeyes defenders in Sophie Willis-Dudley and Emmy Weir had a fantastic game with loads of intercepts and hands over balls.
Ebony Behsmann read the pay well and was strong with centre passes.
