Students and teachers look forward to Book Week each year, with some spending weeks on their costumes in preparation.
It gives them the opportunity to not only explore their love of reading, but to put together costumes based on their favourite book character for an annual parade.
Edward Public School, St Michael’s Primary School and North Public School already had their parades last month with Deniliquin South School students joining in, finally getting their chance to share their incredible costumes and love of books.
Harry Potter, superheroes, footballers and mad hatters were among some of the most popular costumes with a rainbow fish, the green sheep and unicorns also in the mix.
There have been a variety of impressive costumes, enthusiasm for reading and most importantly everyone has followed the theme 'Reading is my secret power'.
