‘‘A little bit quirky, and a lot of beautiful’’ is how one friend and local businessperson put it when speaking with owner Carlee Rundell-Gordon this week.
The latest addition to the store includes a locally-made batch of natural skincare and self-care products from Sahrdaya Studio, by local entrepreneur Katelyn Wrigglesworth.
‘‘When she showed me her range, I thought it really fit with the vibe and ethics of the shop,’’ said Ms Rundell-Gordon, who stressed the products are not tested on animals, and are vegan and natural.
‘‘Being a woman in business myself I thought a collaboration with her would be perfect.’’
Ms Wrigglesworth will be at Kali Soo from 10am tomorrow to give product demonstrations, make recommendations, and share some samples.
She will advise which products suit your skin type, and how to apply each one, and encourages you to stop by and get some holiday gift ideas.
In addition to local Sahrdaya Studios products, Kali Soo stocks products from Bali, Nepal and Africa.
Some of the offerings include best-selling candles and essential oils, felt puppets, planters, lanterns, macrame wall hangings and chairs.
Ms Rundell-Gordon said she has found many of her items work perfectly for those loved ones who are a bit more difficult to buy for, or for those who ‘‘seem to have everything’’.
‘‘We have lots of stock coming in for Christmas, and there’s lots to choose from.’’
Kali Soo will offer extended shopping hours tonight, closing at 7pm.
