The ‘new’ plaza entrance is expected to be ready from April 27, and accessible from the vacant block beside the shopping centre.
Edward River Council said this will allow for works teams to continue with the project along Hardinge St, which requires blocking off the existing entry and exit points.
People visiting Harvey Norman and Mitre10 are asked to use the entrance on Harfleur St, next to Harvey Norman, while this section of work is taking place.
Council has also reminded motorists that while work is continuing, speed reductions are being enforced in the work zone.
“Several instances of speeding have been reported on Hardinge St through the roadworks 40km per hour zone,” a council spokesperson said.
“Edward River Council is urging local residents to be aware of signage and slow down to travel through the construction zone between Ochtertyre and Harfleur St.
“With water main relocations continuing, and stage one of the civil works component of the Hardinge St Road Reconstruction project getting started, Deni’s commercial precinct has become a busy work zone.”
While the alternate entry is being used at the plaza, users are asked to use the one-way traffic flow model as pictured.
