Bakers Delight has had another successful charitable drive, raising exactly $12,000 for Breast Cancer Network Australia during its three-week campaign.
Elizabeth Duddridge from Bakers Delight said staff were ecstatic to beat last year’s total of $10,000 and at being the third highest raising store in Australia.
“We as a team are always blown away with the generosity of our town, and it’s so great that a small town can make such a big difference,” she said.
“We would like to thank everyone who came in and supported us, for all their generosity throughout our campaign.
“I also wanted to thank all the staff members for the great work they do; it can be a very emotional campaign and without such a strong team to help support each other I don’t think we would do as well as what we have.”
The store’s BCNA day was on May 11, which was also a massive success, raising $1494 on that day alone.
Ms Duddridge said the day had a great atmosphere and plenty of people turned up.
“Overall, we really just want to thank everyone for helping raise as much money for BCNA as we could, it is a really great cause, and it has a special place in all our hearts,” she said.
