Finley Apex Club members are to be congratulated for their hard work organising the event so well.
The annual Finley Town Garage Sale held over the weekend also attracted visitors to the town from near and far with the hope of picking up some great bargains.

The Local Health Advisory Committee (LHAC) has been providing health care advice in this column for some time now.
However, similar branches are also established in other areas in our communities.
For those who do not have a clear understanding of the role these volunteers have, LHACs provide a vital link between community and the health services.
Committees meet monthly to discuss health needs, advocate for services and access to services, and provide feedback.
Each committee identifies and prioritises health needs and works with the health services to benefit each community.
The committee’s role is to advocate for local community; connect with local communities about health priorities; be a voice for planning and evaluation of services; provide support to local health services and promote health literacy and wellbeing in their local communities.
LHAC members are guided by terms of reference.
Further information can be obtained by contacting Nola Pinnuck on 0439 996 627 or Jenny McAllister on 0409 112 530.

Finley Lions Club members reported extra sales of tickets in the wood raffle due to the number of visitors in town on Saturday morning.
The winning ticket drawn was marked ‘donation’, the result of one generous supporter of the Lions Club.
This being the case, the club made the decision to give the trailer load of wood to the local branch of St Vincent de Paul Society to be given to someone in need.
No doubt the generous donor will be pleased to know that as well as the Lions Club, a local family also benefited on the day.

Former residents Hugh and Michael Rose, the sons of 'Bud' Rose, spent several days in Finley last week, the family having left Finley 60 years ago.
Bud, a soldier settler, drew the block on the corner of South Coree and Larkins Rd.
The brothers spent their time catching up with classmates, former neighbours and fellow school bus passengers, and checking out some of the area's features, including the Finley Solar Farm and Close Foundry Museum.
Now retired, Hugh lives in Toowoomba and Michael in Bowral.
