VFF is calling on regional drivers to get behind a two-week “Regional road reporting blitz,” with every pothole, crumbling edge or faded line marking helping build the case for urgent repairs.

The push follows VFF analysis showing planned resurfacing and rehabilitation work across regional Victoria has been slashed by more than 75 per cent in five years, from 11,800 thousand square metres in 2021-22 down to just 2859 thousand square metres budgeted for 2026-27.
VFF president Ryan Milgate described it as a “regional road crisis” and said the more reports authorities receive, the harder it became to ignore the scale of the problem.
