Scott Reserve is a long-established and highly valued community sports hub, supporting both football and netball, as well as providing a space for broader community use.
The pavilion plays a central role in the reserve, providing essential facilities such as change rooms, meeting and social spaces, kitchen and kiosk areas, and first aid and well-being support.
The developed concept design presents a vision for a modern, inclusive and accessible pavilion that aligns with regional standards and community expectations.
This concept design is part of preliminary planning only and currently there is no committed funding and progression of the project is entirely dependent on securing significant external funding.
Moira Shire Council chair administrator Graeme Emonson said council wanted to ensure the project was ready to proceed once funding became available.
“Developing a concept design and engaging with the community are key steps in ensuring the project is well-defined and ‘shovel ready,’ should funding opportunities arise in the future,” he said.
“Council will continue to consult user groups and the broader community as planning progresses, ensuring future proposals reflect local needs and priorities.”
External funding for the building works will be pursued to ensure the pavilion meets sporting standards and community needs.
