My Shop’s Daffodil Day morning tea turned Napier Street into a sea of golden yellow, with overflowing buckets of daffodils, Daffodil Day merchandise and tables laden with cakes, slices, scones and biscuits.
Locals were joined by visitors in Deniliquin for the Vietnam Veterans Day events, with plenty stopping to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, a bowl of soup and a chat at tables and chairs set up along the footpath outside My Shop.
Deniliquin Florist also got into the spirit of the day, holding a BBQ and cake stall, while selling bunches of bright daffodils.
A highlight of the morning was a generous $2000 donation from the Rotary Club of Deniliquin, helping boost the fundraising effort.
