Rotary and ERAS purchased the painting from the recent Deniliquin Easter Art Prize exhibition they host, specifically to donate to the hospital.
It was selected for its bright, uplifting tones.
Both organisations hope this will be the beginning of a continuing effort to enhance the hospital environment for patients, visitors and staff.
ERAS president Ginny Reid said the project aims to encourage wider community involvement.
“Hopefully more people, individuals, any artists, or anyone can donate high‑quality art to the hospital,” she said.
“It should add a bit of happy colour.”
The artwork attracted strong interest from staff across several nursing units, and has now been welcomed by a “delighted and very appreciative” maternity ward.
Hospital facility manager Ginny Lange, who helped coordinate the donation, said the team was thrilled to receive the piece.
“We think it’s lovely,” she said.
“We’re very appreciative of being donated a beautiful painting, something that will brighten up the hospital.”
