Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fire at a Cobram shop, where stored ammunition was exploding as CFA crews worked to control the blaze.

Emergency services were called to the fire at a business at the intersection of Broadway and Gemmell Sts at about 5.40pm on Thursday, July 9.
A CFA spokesperson said the incident was declared under control at 7.42pm.
“On arrival, crews found a well-developed fire in the rear of a building with some minor explosion occurring,” the CFA spokesperson said.
“The fire developed very quickly and multiple agencies including CFA, Fire Rescue Victoria, Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, Fire Rescue NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service, Shepparton Search and Rescue, Moria Shire and SES were involved in the response.
“CFA had 15 units total on scene throughout the incident.”
People were asked to avoid the area until the fire was extinguished due to the ammunition stored on the premises, and the site was deemed safe at 5.55pm on Friday.
Police have confirmed that there were no injuries.

Investigations are ongoing into the cause of the fire, which was deemed not to be suspicious.
