With fine weather forecast and gates opening from 6am, organisers are anticipating a strong turnout for one of the region's longest-running community events.
A major focus again this year is family-friendly entertainment, with the Berrigan Show Society committed to providing a range of free activities for children throughout the day.
Making their Berrigan debut will be The Animals of the Magical Mountains, presenting three interactive 20-minute shows thanks to the support of the Southern Riverina Wellbeing Collaborative.
The performances will be among a host of other free attractions, including face painting, an animal nursery, jumping castle, family scarecrow dressing competition and the popular Kidz Zone, which will offer various activities for younger visitors.
Member for Farrer David Farley MP will officially open the show at 12.30pm.
Berrigan Show Society president Neville Dalgliesh said the annual event would not be possible without the dedication of volunteers and the support of sponsors.
“The committee, community and volunteers put an enormous amount of time and energy into making the show a success each year,” Mr Dalgliesh said.
“I would like to once again thank all our wonderful sponsors. Without their generous support we would not be able to run our show.”
Visitors attending the show will also go into the draw for the lucky gate prize, with one winner set to receive a premium cabin getaway for two nights at Kismet Riverside Lodge in Howlong.
Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for pensioners and children aged 10 to 16, while children under 10 are admitted free.
Membership tickets remain available from the Berrigan Show Office until 5pm on Friday.
Meanwhile, preparations for the show have been complemented by a successful drama camp held this week through the support of a Strawberry Fields Local Community Grant.
Forty young people from across the region have taken part in workshops led by facilitator Ben Stonnill, alongside Ellie Davis and Helen Dickie.
They have explored drama games, dance, singing, fight choreography, sound and lighting techniques, as well as character development and monologue work.
The public is invited to attend a showcase performance of the students' work at 3pm on Thursday at the Berrigan Soldiers’ Memorial Hall.
