The Festival of Stories will bring storytellers who use various mediums to Echuca and Moama in October and the festival’s founder and chair Christy O’Brien said it would offer events for people of all ages and interests.
“We all have a story, and we’re all connected through stories as well,” Ms O’Brien said.
“We wanted to have a platform to provide for all types of stories that come in all different shapes and forms.
“We’ve got storytelling through place, through farming, through food, through art.”
The festival features a star-studded line-up including musician Dan Sultan, author Jock Serong, and broadcaster Rosie Walton.
Ms O’Brien said the support from the public and businesses had been wonderful and that anyone can continue to support the festival by becoming a Friend of the Festival.
“With tickets selling well and our full program being released, our attention has definitely shifted to bringing the fabulous festival to life,” she said.
“But we’ve already had people who want to be involved for next year, so if anyone wants to be involved, give us a call.”
