The guys had a training session yesterday, having a hit and a bowl and a look at numbers.
Their endeavours will no doubt be aided by cricket workshops currently being carried out at Mathoura Public School, where John Arthur is putting the youngsters through their paces.
The indication from the initial workshop this week is that the Kinder/Year 1 students were showing the most promise.

Although he is still facing further surgery, Wayne ‘Buggsie’ Couser was bright and happy to see visitors at the weekend.
And the visit was boosted by a get well message from international cricketer Todd Murphy, who he has known since his childhood.
Full marks to Todd for taking the time out from his busy schedule to cheer up his mate.

The annual Mathoura Speed Shear and annual cancer fundraiser is only a couple of weeks away, and the organising committee has advised that the Mathoura Football Netball Club will be doing the bar and canteen during the event on November 4.
The popular event will see top shearers from near and far compete for the honours on the day and collect the prize money.
