Stella Chadderton and Harvey Campbell have been elected to lead Deniliquin north School for 2024, formally inducted to their new positions at the school’s presentation day on December 13.

Dux for 2023 went to Ethan Baker.
He ranked first overall in mathematics, equal first in history/geography, first in grammar and second in spelling.
“Ethan is a quiet achiever who is particularly competitive in mathematics,” the school said.
“Ethan also received the New South Wales Premier’s Reading Challenge Platinum Award.
“This is awarded to any student who has participated in the Premier’s Reading challenge for seven years”.
The Junior Quiet Achiever award - in memory of past principal Bob Jackson - went to Alby Bull for consistently producing work of a high standard, particularly in mathematics.
The Junior Primary Excellence Award, donated by Perin Davey and presented by Helen McRae, went to William Turner for excellent academic achievement in all areas.
William maintained a high level of achievement throughout the year.
The senior Quiet Achiever award - in memory of past principal Bob Hawke - went to Sophie Doherty for outstanding academic achievement in all areas.
Sophie ranked second overall in the year.
Sophie also received the Brian Hopper Award for her excellent skills in debating.
The Allitt Family Trophy for Junior Sporting Endeavour - donated by Anne and Graham Allitt - was shared by Chloe Lawson and Lotus Gallpen-Brown.
Chloe represented the school at a state level in swimming and was awarded the junior girls champion at the DNPS Athletics Carnival.
Lotus was runner-up for the athletics carnival and represented at state level in athletics for long jump.
The Marg Fisher Environment Award, donated by the school in recognition of the tremendous contribution made to Deni North by Marg Fisher - was presented by Claire Wing to Sid Clancy.
It recognised his contribution and leadership role in the Deniliquin Blue Crew HPV squad which competed at the Pushcart Challenge.
The award ceremony featured performances by school band The Groovy Dudes, featuring the Dudettes and Claire Wing.
There was a slideshow with highlights from the year and a ‘Now and Then’ slideshow of our the Year 6 students as toddlers and showcasing what they wanted to be when they grew up.
The graduating Year 6 students also performed a song, and the event finished with them leaving the stage in a long line.
Alby Bull was rewarded for his efforts in maths, in particular.
Ethan Baker was Dux in 2023.
Sophie Doherty won the Quiet Achiever award.
