Quick response saves home

A Mathoura home has been saved from being destroyed by fire, thanks to the swift response from local fire crews.

Emergency services were called to the property at 2.57pm Saturday.

On arrival, crews from Mathoura Rural Fire Service, Moama Fire + Rescue, and Deniliquin Fire + Rescue found the source of the blaze to be a laundry bin fire.

Firefighters quickly brought the incident under control, containing the fire before it could spread further into the home.

Carrathool Rd rollover

Conargo Rural Fire Service volunteers provided first responder services to the occupant of a car which had rolled on the Carrathool Rd on Friday afternoon.

Firefighters administered initial first aid until Ambulance NSW paramedics arrived, and transported the occupant to Deniliquin Hospital.

Police also attended the scene.
