At lunchtime on Friday, the entire school joined to watch a special ice bucket fundraiser to fight motor neurone disease.
Staff and students alike braved the challenge.
The initial challenge line-up includes teachers Jacqui Johnson, BlakeToomey, Noah King, Marita Leetham, Amanda Bode and school captains Aria Taylor and Baxter Cowley.
Three more students also put their bodies on the line at the last minute - Dylan Treble, Amy Holloway and Braxton Osborne.
The event brought the school community together to watch buckets of cold water and ice dumped on their teachers and peers in the school grounds.
Additional funds were raised by offering students and staff the chance to donate to be one of the ice bucket tippers.
The challenge was initiated and organised by students Savannah Bain and Catie Michael, who wanted the school to “freeze for a cure” and support families affected by MND.
The pair put the initiative forward to teacher Sue Laing.
Inspired by the passing of FightMND champion Neale Daniher, Savannah and Catie said the didn’t want “his good work to stop with him”.
The school raised $500, which Mrs Laing said was donated to boost the fundraising for the Deniliquin IGA FightMND Big Freeze held the same afternoon.
Details of the IGA event will be included in Friday’s edition.
