Henderson is a renowned Australian street artist known for his large-scale public works and mentor the youth to co-design and install original murals across the park’s shelter sheds and toilet block.
The project came about after a group of local skate park users started advocating and fundraising for improvements to the shelter sheds and called on the community to support this particular project.
Federation Primary Prevention Team jumped onboard the opportunity as a great way to create social connections and turn the popular recreational hub into a cultural space that young people can call their own.
"This isn't just about painting walls; it’s about professional mentorship," Henderson said.

"My goal is to help the youth of Corowa translate their stories into a visual language and give them the tools to shape the identity of their own town."
The existing mural at the skate park shelter sheds holds deep personal significance for Henderson.
It was his first commissioned mural, completed more than 10 years ago, setting him on his professional journey.
The mural project kicks off a high-energy line-up of Youth Week events featuring professional skate competitions and creative workshops.
The Federation Primary Prevention Team is a community-led coalition supported by Council, police, local schools, Corowa Skate Park committee and community members.
"Our skate parks are more than just places for sport, they are social landmarks," Mayor Cheryl Cook said.
"By involving our young people in the creative process, we are creating a welcoming environment that authentically reflects the spirit of our community."
