Life doesn’t always follow a straight path.
There are times when stress, worry, or difficult situations can feel overwhelming.
During those moments, knowing where to turn for support can make a real difference.
That’s the message behind this week’s Sticky Topics campaign column, which highlights the ‘Help Anywhere, Anytime’ initiative led by the Deniliquin Mental Health Awareness Group (Deni MHAG).
The campaign reminds people that support is available anywhere, anytime.
You don’t need to wait until things reach a crisis point to talk to someone or seek help.
Across Australia, there are many trusted helplines and support services available 24 hours a day.
These services are confidential, free, and staffed by trained professionals who are there to listen and provide support when people need it most.
“In Deni, knowing where to turn can make all the difference,” said Deni MHAG president Lourene Liebenberg.
“This week’s campaign ‘sticker’ encourages people to scan the QR code or go to www.denimantalhealth.org.au/helplines to find trusted helplines and support services they can save, use, or share with someone who might need support.
“Because wherever you are and whatever you’re going through, you’re not alone.
“In our community, reaching out for support is always okay.”
The Sticky Topics campaign is funded by Firsthealth Limited and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network Community Grants through the Federal Government’s PHN Program, and is supported locally by Edward River Council, Deniliquin Pastoral Times and Ace Radio/2QN.
