Both fish were taken off the bank.
The biggest of the pair, a 90cm cod, was caught by Keenen Howard, who was fishing with shrimp when the cod struck.
Not far behind was a 76cm cod, reeled in by Grady Delmenico with the help of his baby daughter, Addison.
Their fish took a full cooked prawn, proving once again that simple baits often do the job.

As autumn edges toward winter, cod behaviour begins to shift.
The colder water slows them down, meaning they often hold tighter to structure and feed in shorter windows.
Bait fishing becomes increasingly reliable, with shrimp, yabbies and prawns all performing well.
Anglers who adjust to the slower pace, working baits patiently, targeting deeper holes and timber, and fishing during the warmer parts of the day, can still find excellent results.
These two catches are a good reminder that quality cod are very much on the move, even as the mercury falls.
