Tight competition as triples continue

The second round of the Taylor Made Trebles was played at the Deniliquin Bowling Club on Thursday night, and I’m pleased to report that it went off without a hitch (Thanks Paul).

Eight of the 10 teams had one win and a loss, with the best performing side being that of Steve O’Brien, Mark Tasker and Ella Hipworth with one win and a draw.

Their first match resulted in a 7-all draw, while they recorded a 5-4 victory in the second, showing how close the competition is.

With four points for a win and two for a draw, this leaves the O’Brien side on top of the table with 14 points.

Rob Morris, Mick Atley and John Murray are a clear second with 12.

After play, it was Lindsay Dalzell and Craig Hillier who won the White Lion Hotel vouchers.

Could this be an omen for the AFL football this weekend, as they are both mad Collingwood supporters?

Hostilities will continue from 6pm on Thursday.
