Police said the 53-year-old man returned to his Poictiers St home about 10.20am Tuesday to find an unknown woman on the property.
The woman is alleged to have punched the man in the face before leaving, which resulted in minor injuries.

Assault charge
A woman has been charged with domestic violence related assault after an incident in North Deniliquin on Monday afternoon.
Police and emergency services responded to reports of an injured male about 12.30pm.
The 50 year-old was found on the Riverina Highway a short time later, about 5km from Deniliquin, with a small cut to the forehead.
Police allege he was assaulted by a woman known to him, and she was later arrested at a North Deniliquin home.
She was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV) and intimidation, and will appear in Deniliquin Local Court on October 15.
West Deni break-in
Police are investigating the reported break-in of a west Deniliquin home.
The Laman Crt home is believed to have been entered between 9.30am Monday and 12.30pm Tuesday.
At this stage, police said it appears nothing has been taken.
