The Storm host Canberra at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon with the players donning "Mad Dog Munster 250" t-shirts at their final training run on Saturday.
Munster will become the seventh player in club history to reach the milestone and coach Craig Bellamy said the 31-year-old five-eighth was still at the top of his game.
This was evident in Wednesday's State of Origin in Melbourne, where captain Munster was integral in steering the Maroons to a crushing 44-24 victory over NSW to level the series.
"He (Munster) is at the top of his game, but he just doesn't seem to get any older with his footy, but with life in general - that's the way he sort of lives his life," Bellamy said.
"He's still playing as well as he's ever played.
"He's a wonderful player, he's talented, got great skill, great game sense but his greatest trait is genuine care for the club and what we stand for.
"He knows his best way of showing that care is playing the best footy you can and he's done that for 14 years."
Munster has been named to start against the Raiders, as has his Queensland teammates Harry Grant and Trent Loiero.
After the opening Origin match Grant started on the bench and Bellamy said the hooker would have a say in his game time at AAMI Park, wearing some "bumps and bruises" from the midweek battle.
Melbourne have extra cover at dummy half with Tyran Wishart finally returning from a syndesmosis injury via the bench.
"We'll just see how they go, see how they're feeling and then go from there ... they'll have an opinion on that as well," Bellamy said.
While Melbourne have seemingly solved their form slump to sit 11th, the Raiders are down in 15th on the ladder losing four of their last five matches.
They will have NSW Origin pair Hudson Young and Ethan Strange back on deck.
Bellamy said Ricky Stuart's men were capable of turning their season around.
"They were last year's minor premiers and I'd say they'd be disappointed in their results, but a few games I've seen them play lately they were probably a bit unfortunate not to get the result," he said.
"They've got a lot of good quality players in there and probably their real strength is that they really play as a team, so they probably haven't got the results that they've wanted but to me they're still playing well."
