A hard fought match and win by Deni Rams’ A grade against Cobram last week saw them progress to the prelims, and they are as keen as ever.
And now they are looking to knock down Moama after being defeated by them in both round eight by 22 goals and last year’s grand final.
Co-coach Jodie Sefton said they will have a good chance with the team playing as strong as ever.
‘‘When we clashed with them this year, we didn’t have the whole team and Bec Briggs wasn’t available,’’ she said.
‘‘I expect the upcoming game to be a physical contest but the girls have been playing really well towards the end of the season.’’
Knowing they will need to face a strong centre court, the Rams have been working on plays to get around this.
‘‘Our defence has also been in good form in recent weeks so the battle will be interesting,’’ Sefton said.
‘‘The battle between Moama’s Angela Slattery and Leah Blake will be enthralling.
‘‘It is going to be a tightly contested match but I look forward to seeing our goals on the court.’’
The match between the Rams and Moama will be held at Barooga Recreation Reserve at 1.30pm on Sunday.
Rams B grade will also travel to Barooga to clash with their prelim opponent, Mulwala.
Mulwala Defeated Rams in round 10, 43 to 35, so the girls will be looking to make a comeback.
The match will be held at Barooga Recreation Reserve at 12pm on Sunday.
The Under 15s Rams side are heading into their match against Echuca United with confidence.
The side won their game against Echuca in round 13 by 15 goals and hope to make a repeat.
The match will be held at Katandra Recreation Reserve at 10am on Saturday.
Rams Under 13s are hoping for another win against Tongala.
The sides clashed in round 12, when the Rams had an emphatic 30-0 win.
They will play at 9am on Saturday at the Katandra Recreation Reserve.
