The event will showcase the versatility, athleticism and skill of Australian Stock Horses and their riders, with more than $5000 in prizes and prize money on offer across the weekend.
Hosted at the Deniliquin Pony Club grounds in Smart St, the program will feature a range of show and challenge events, attracting competitors from across the region and beyond.
Branch president James Beer said competitors were expected from Victoria, South Australia, south-west NSW and south-east NSW.
“There will be three rings going, and they will have events from led classes, ridden and working classes, like you would see on a station, whip cracking and obstacle classes, including a fastest time trial obstacle class," Beer said.
He said organisers were hoping to attract between 40 and 50 horses across the weekend.
"Entry is free, and you can watch for half an hour or stay for the full day," he said.
"The Deni Stock Horse branch has been around since 1981, and we have a show most years.
"We are a very small, but dedicated committee and anyone looking to get involved is very welcome."
