Mowers’ girls roll through Demons

In a rematch of the 2025 grand final Moama’s girls side repeated the result, blowing through Shepparton United in even more dominant fashion in round three Goulburn Murray Girls League action.

The Demons had no answer for the clinical Mowers, the locals piling on the goals to win by 67 points on Sunday at Moama Recreation Reserve.

The scoring started early in a four goals to one first term, as Moama opened up a 21-point lead by quarter-time.

The Demons were held scoreless in the second, as the Mowers added three more to their total to extend the lead to 39 at the main break.

More of the same followed in the second half, Moama prevailing 12.8 (80) to 2.1 (13) at full-time.

Ruby McLeod added to her five goals in the opening round with six more to lead her side’s scoring, while Savannah Emery slotted three and Sophie Millar, Grace Riddell and Chloe Ryan each chipped in one.
