We put in a disappointing performance after looking superior in the first quarter.
Rennie outworked us for the next three quarters, and we failed to stop the momentum.
Jack Charlton, Matt Macansh and Darcy Cullenward put in good performances, the rest weren’t up to scratch. The team must bounce back this week.

Reserves
With a couple of ins and a couple of outs, the team were looking to get back to continuing their structure and style improvements and through passages of the game. They hit the scoreboard as a result.
Unfortunately, the team were let down by lapses each quarter.
Rennie were good enough to rebound and capitalise, compounding our errors.
Nick Taylor and Frankie White were standouts in the midfield all day, linking up well.
Jack Sander, Boddie Arthur and Billy Lawes were strong down back, sticking to and executing the backline exit strategies.
Thirds boys Charlie Hetherington and Ollie Dunmore look more at home each week, and it will take some work to take their spot when available.

Thirds
With injuries and other commitments, the Redeyes had to rely on some of our young fourths kids to step up again and help us out.
Again, we just could not quite get the job done.
The boys played some really good football. Unfortunately, when we got it inside our forward 50, we just couldn’t hit the scoreboard.
Better players for the day were Daniel Burn, Sam Conallin, Jordyn Brain, Charlie Hetherington, Ollie Dunmore and Ash Hines who got the good sports award.

Fourths
The team was asked to put a big effort in the first half of the game, which they did, with all players stepping up.
Kayden Leech got a goal and Alice Petersen showed some real grit and will to win the ball. Once again the fifths all helped out.
Rennie was able to pull away in the last half, but Blighty still didn’t give up.
Daniel Burn was best on ground.
The other awards went to Jordyn Brain, who ran all day, Ben Macdonald, Langa Fevaleaki, and Charlie Tremble who was strong in defence.
The good sport award went to Ari Tremble, who has been coming up from the fifths each week and is always ready to play.

Fifths
Our junior Redeyes were back on the road this week as we took on Rennie.
After a fierce contest between the parents and kids during the week, we were primed for a great contest.
The first quarter was an outstanding effort by the team. We were outnumbered but didn’t complain, just applied pressure to their talented team.
In the second quarter, we worked hard to move the ball forward as a team, with the help of some Rennie players.
In the last half, our commitment to the team and contest didn’t slow down.
Although slightly outclassed, we proved to ourselves, we are up for any challenge.
