A footballer from Cobram Football Netball Club has been crowned the O’Dwyer medallist — for a second year running.

Cobram ruck Jackson Trengove was named the 2025 O’Dwyer medallist and senior best-and-fairest player at the Murray Football Netball League awards night on Sunday, September 14.
He claimed the title after polling 27 votes, followed by Numurkah’s Kade O’Dwyer on 23 and Owen Conway of Mulwala on 22.
Cobram’s Sam Beasley was a co-winner of the medal in 2024.
Admirers took to social media to praise the Tigers star, with many writing it was well-deserved recognition.
Meanwhile, Daniel Ellis received the top award in the reserves, taking home the Damien Jones Medal with 28 votes.
Oliver Benson shared the title of under-14s best-and-fairest with the Deniliquin Rams’ Logan Elphick on 47 votes each.
Alex Krause was named runner-up best-and-fairest in the under-17s with 25 votes.
Olivia Thompson was the runner-up best-and-fairest in the under-17s netball on 26 votes.
Line painter and seniors team manager Rocky Raco was named Administrator of the Year, while Matt DeMaio was celebrated for 200 MFL games.
