The Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia (MCCSA) mourns the passing of the Hon Nick Bolkus, a respected former Minister, parliamentarian and advocate for social justice.
Nick Bolkus was a principled public servant who demonstrated a lifelong commitment to equity, inclusion and opportunity. Through his work in government and public life, he contributed to shaping a fairer and more inclusive Australia, with a strong appreciation of the role that multicultural communities play in strengthening our nation.
He was known for his intellect, integrity and dedication to public service and his legacy will be remembered with respect by those who worked alongside him and those whose lives were positively impacted by his leadership.
