Vale – Bill Perrins, The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadrons’ longest Serving Member

On behalf of Flag Officers and Members, we are saddened to announce the passing of Bill Perrins (a Member for over 75 years) at 91 years of age.

Bill was the longest serving member of RQYS, having joined the Squadron in 1946 at the age of 16 years old when the Squadron’s clubhouse held premise in the city and young sailors would train in the Brisbane River. Bill was also awarded in Life Membership in 1995, for his service and dedication to the Squadron.

Our thoughts are with the Perrins family during this time.
