17°CWe are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Virginia Margaret Gooden (Gini). Born in Adelaide, South Australia, she later made Dallas, Texas, her home, where she became a beloved figure running several popular Australian themed restaurants in the late 1980s and 1990s.
A loving mother to Tom and Henry, beloved by daughters-in-law Laura and Keri, and cherished grandmother to Natalie, Grace, Simon, and Jack, her innate kindness and infectious spirit made her the heart of every gathering. Upon returning to Adelaide in 1997, she rekindled her passion for painting, finding remarkable success with her bold modernist works.
