It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Concetta Sparano (née Natoli) on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, in Melbourne, Victoria, at the age of 79. Maria was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Maria, a second-generation Australian born in Sydney, New South Wales, was the daughter of Bartolo and Francesca (née Moschella) Natoli (both dec) and the sister of Diana Tesoriero (née Natoli). Beloved and devoted wife of Leo (dec), proud and loving mother to Angela, Simona, and Paola, cherished mother-in-law to Nick, adored Zia, and soon-to-be Nonna.
An accomplished, kindhearted, and gentle woman, wholly dedicated to her family. Her kindness touched everyone she met, always ready to offer a helping hand to those in need.
Maria is remembered with deep affection by her friends and family near and far, including those in Sydney and Italy.
Her legacy will endure, and her courageous spirit will continue to inspire us all. We will forever cherish her beautiful memory.
