WANE, James Marcus Bennett

It is with great sadness I announce the passing of Dr Jim Wane on Saturday the 5th September 2026.

Jim was 92 and passed away peacefully in the company of his children, David and Liz.

Jim was much loved by his grandchildren Brigitte, Ella, Carson and Saxon (dec) and was a caring brother to Kate and Helen (dec), brother-in-law to Peter and David (dec) and uncle to the Burke and Mason children.

Jim was the chosen physician of many of Hobart’s residents from the late 60’s through to the late 90’s and was very active in St John Ambulance and the R.A.C.G.P. Jim will be missed for his keen eye for detail and his wonderful sense of humour.
