WILSON, John
On Father’s Day we lost our light and greatest love, our Dad,
grandfather (Pop)
and great-grandfather (Poppy-John), when he died suddenly in his own home, aged 96 and a half.
Born on the 1st of March 1929, to Sidney Seal and Katie Ismay Wilson in Latrobe, Tasmania, his has been a life lived positively, kindly, intelligently and lovingly with a real interest in people and the world.
Husband to Shirley Anne (nee Townsend) (dec).
Father to Sharyn Lee Wilson (Hood) and Richard Nevin Wilson. Father-in-law to Andrew Hood and Amanda (Rosan) Wilson. Pop to Kate Cowlard and Richard, Ellen Watts and Ben, Alexander Wilson and Samuel Wilson. Poppy-John to Nate Cowlard and Hamish Kirk.
His has been an exemplary life, truly well-lived in love, friendship, leadership and service.
We are so thankful that he chose us.
