Most dearly loved son of Francis & Sarah McGrath (both dec’d), loved brother & brother in law of Sr Margaret McGrath RSM (dec’d), Rita Liepa (dec’d), Therese & Kevin Lefroy (both dec’d), Gerard & Janna McGrath, Daniel McGrath (dec’d), Patricia (dec’d) & Tom Stager, loved uncle of Raeanne, Paul, Danny, Scott, Stephanie, Imogen, Michael & Brett.

Fr McGrath’s body will be received at St Therese’s Catholic Church, 135 Robert Road, Bentley Park, at a Vigil of Prayers and Memories and a Liturgical Reception of his body on
THURSDAY EVENING 23rd October, commencing at 6.00pm.

Most Reverend Bishop Joseph Caddy (Bishop of Cairns), Rev Fr Kerry Crowley (Vicar General), Clergy and Religious of the Diocese of Cairns, all family, relatives, parishioners and many friends of FATHER JOHN McGRATH are respectfully invited to attend a Solemn Funeral Mass which will be celebrated on FRIDAY MORNING 24th October 2025, commencing at 10.00am at St Therese’s Catholic Church, 135 Robert Road, Bentley Park. The service will conclude at the Church. Fr McGrath will be privately cremated.

An Inurnment of Ashes Ceremony will be held on TUESDAY MORNING 28th October 2025, commencing at 10.00am at the Graveside of the Babinda Monumental Cemetery.
