When it comes to a visit to Finley, visitors often lament not allowing more time to experience the many attractions and hear all the stories from such a rich and proud farming past.

The authenticity so eagerly sought after these days is there in spades.
It’s the little town with lots to do - from water sports and fishing on Finley Lake and the Murray River, to more sedate pursuits like museums, food and craft fairs, table setting competitions and displays.
Not to mention golf, sailing, fishing, markets, dining, and shopping.
Finley NSW is also home to many sporting, cultural and social events throughout the year.
Our friends at the Finley Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture recommend exploring some of the following attractions during your stay.
Finley Pioneer Rail Museum
The Finley Pioneer Rail Museum is the jewel in the crown of rail history in the Southern Riverina. Incredibly well preserved, it is one of the few pioneer stations still standing. The museum itself contains artefacts and real-life railway stories.
Finley Historical Museum & Log Cabin
Step back in time by walking through the McAllister Homestead, then on to the museum and enjoy its marvellous collection of machinery and memorabilia which has been collected over the past 40 or so years. On site is the original Myrtle Park School built in 1896. With concessions for buses and groups, bookings are essential as opening hours vary.
Finley Foundry Museum
The Finley Foundry Museum is a celebration of the long association JT & EN Close has had with the district community. The museum has machinery and equipment on display that has remained at the foundry over the years, as well as documents and business papers from the 1900s.
Murals
Finley has a brilliant collection of public murals which help tell a story about the community.
At the Tuppal Hotel (149 Murray St, Finley) you’ll find three murals. There’s a majestic ram on the south side of the hotel, and inside there’s also tributes to famous locals in AFL footballer Shane Crawford and Aussie band Spiderbait.
The Boomerang Motors Mural (at 2 Pinnick St, Finley) tells the history of this long-running business.
At the Finley Bowling Club (1-11 Tuppal St, Finley) there are two murals. One is of bowlers at play, while the other depicts days of old when beer kegs would be delivered by horse and cart.
Another great mural which showcases Finley’s past adorns the side wall of the Finley School of Arts Hall (85 Murray St, Finley). Chief among the images are those of dances held at the hall several decades ago.
