Held between June 23 and 24 at the Goods Shed in Ballarat, the two-day event will feature a large line-up of information sessions and key-note speakers, allowing attendees to tailor their day to their interests.
Agriculture Victoria’s Jen Alexander said the event was a good opportunity for participants to access the most up-to-date information.
“The networks connect producers through producer groups, and include access to up-to-date research, opportunities for skill development and knowledge building, as well as networking and learning from others,” Ms Alexander said.
“We know the conferences give producers the opportunity to step away from the farm, connect with fellow producers, share experiences and gather fresh ideas for the future.”
The event starts on Tuesday, June 23, with the BestWool/BestLamb conference and a combined industry dinner in the evening.
The following day, Wednesday, June 24, the program will shift to the BetterBeef conference, including a Feeder Steer Master class.
“Attendees can expect a mix of keynote addresses and concurrent sessions with a producer focus that will inform and challenge, while providing insights from across the sheep and beef industries,” Ms Alexander said.
“Industry experts will provide relevant and practical strategies that can be implemented immediately on your farm, and share the latest research and innovations that are shaping the industry.”
Some of this year’s keynote speakers will include John Francis, from Agrista, Ricky and Marni Luhrs, from Moralla Merino, and professor Peter McGilchrist, from the University of New England.
Tickets, as well as a full program, can be found on Agriculture Victoria’s website.
