On May 2 and 3, Ben Wilkinson ventured to Winton in his Mustang to compete in the Historic Race Series.
Braving almost monsoon conditions, Ben achieved two wins and a second, finishing as outright winner for the weekend.
He is now leading the state series.
Also on May 2 and 3, Bryson Lloyd (Getz), Neil Goudie (Pulsar), Gavan Nolan (Pulsar) and Terry Maher (Excel) travel to Mallala, South Australia, for the Peter Hall Memorial Six‑Hour Race.
Practice and qualifying took place in wet, windy conditions on Saturday, accompanied by a couple of minor vehicle problems and an ‘off’ by one team member.
With practice laps and times established, team optimism was high following their win in 2024 and a fourth‑place finish in 2025.
Racing began at 11am and finished at 5 pm, and all went to plan, with all four members completing their allocated track time and Gavan Nolan taking the checkered flag.
At the official presentation, hopes were high for a good result, and after a countdown through a total of 18 teams, with approximately 80 cars, an outright third place was achieved.
Team manager Graham Christie is already planning for the Winton 10‑Hour Race in October.
