A-grade rose to the challenge and put together one of our strongest team performances of the season.
Ella Charlton stepped up from the under-15s again and had an outstanding game. She remained calm under pressure against some strong defenders and shot with great accuracy throughout the match.
Ash Charlton moved into WA, to allow Ella to settle into the shooting circle, and played her role brilliantly. Her timing, movement and delivery into the circle created plenty of opportunities for our shooters.
Alicia Osborne worked tirelessly in defence, matching her opponents all game and executing everything that was asked of her. Her effort and determination never wavered.

B-grade: Blighty 22 def by Strathmerton 58.
Undoubtedly, our best performance of the season so far. While the scoreboard didn’t quite reflect it, the game felt much closer thanks to the effort, intensity and teamwork.
Our defenders worked tirelessly, bringing the ball down the court beautifully and creating plenty of opportunities through strong pressure and disciplined play.
In attack, our shooters moved effortlessly around the ring, creating space and making the most of their chances.
A special mention to Megan Gull, who chased every rebound with determination and whose constant communication in and around the circle helped keep the pressure on and create scoring opportunities.
Nicole Felmingham shot with superb accuracy all game, while Sammy Watson produced some brilliant drives through the midcourt and took an outstanding intercept that our goalers were able to capitalise on.

C-grade: Blighty 17 def by Strathmerton 38.
C-grade came with no expectations other than to play their own brand of netball.
Our defensive end of Niccola Stanworth, Ruby Williams and Suzette Van der Berg worked tirelessly all day, applying constant pressure and never giving up. Their determination kept the contest alive.
The midcourt trio of Ciara D’Aprile, Mikayla Collie and Krystle Winter were relentless. They created some fantastic passages of play, drove the ball with purpose and linked beautifully through the court.
In attack, Emma Brain, Grace Reid and Rach Bucholtz faced a tough challenge. Despite the intensity, they continued to work hard, create opportunities and support one another throughout the game.

C-reserve: Blighty 17 def by Strathmerton 34.
Week-after-week these girls continue to improve. Although the result didn’t go our way, they played a great game of netball.
Strathy’s strong defensive pressure made life tough for our shooters, but they continued to work hard and create opportunities.
Our defenders put in a fantastic effort, forcing turnovers and working tirelessly to win the ball back before transitioning it into attack.

Under-17s: Blighty 27 drew Strathy 27.
It was a tough, well contested game from the first whistle.
Our girls did lapse after half-time. They could not stay focused on the task and allowed their opponents to engage and surge forward to end in a draw.
The game was ours to win, but we couldn’t consolidate. A lot of learning to be had from this game, some hunger for the ball was needed.

Under-15s: Blighty 35 def Strathy 17
From the opening centre pass, Blighty controlled the tempo of the game with accurate passing, disciplined defence, and excellent movement through the court.
The defensive unit worked tirelessly to create turnovers, while the midcourt linked play seamlessly into the shooting circle.
The shooters capitalised on their opportunities with consistent accuracy, helping Blighty build a comfortable lead by half-time before continuing to extend the margin in the second half.

Under-13s: Blighty 31 def Strathmerton 14.
The under-13s once again made us incredibly proud, putting together a fantastic team performance.
Peggy McKenzie was outstanding through the midcourt, using her voice constantly to encourage her teammates and create strong connections across the court.
Gabbi Dunmore never gives up. Her work rate and movement in defence continue to have a huge impact on the game.
Pip Holden has been working hard on applying more defensive pressure and using her outside arm to create tips and intercept opportunities.
Oaklee Morrison once again took on multiple positions and adapted exceptionally well, showing her versatility and willingness to do whatever the team needed.

Under-11s (Minis): Not scored.
Millie Bucholtz moved swiftly across the court in attack and defence, and showed great sportsmanship, helping her opponent when needed.
Eloise Hay read the play and created great intercepts and turnovers in defence.
Tia Penrith improves her ability each week to move the ball across the court and shot some impressive goals.
Lindsey Lankow’s confidence to play in GA and GS has increased, and we are proud of how all the girls continue to impress us each week.
