If you want to recognise a local business or employee, you have until June 14 to submit your nominations.
With two new awards added to the categories this year, there are 24 to be presented in total among the business, individual and special award categories.
All business category nominees go in the running for the coveted 2026 Business of the Year, which is proudly sponsored by the Deniliquin Pastoral Times.
Business award categories are:
• Excellence in Micro Business (1-5 employees)
• Excellence in Small Business (6-19 employees)
• Excellence in Medium Business (20-99 employees) - new award
• Excellence in Large Business (100 plus)
• Excellence in Workplace Health & Wellbeing - new award
• Employer of Choice (20 Employees & under)
• Employer of Choice (21 Employees & Over)
• Excellence in Customer Service (Business)
• Excellence in Sustainability
• Outstanding Community Organisation
• Outstanding New Business
• Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion
• Excellence in Marketing
• Excellence in Agribusiness
• Excellence in Manufacturing & Trade
• Outstanding Visitor Experience
Individual award categories are:
• Outstanding Employee
• Outstanding Young Business Leader
• Outstanding Business Leader (20 employees & under)
• Outstanding Business Leader (21 employees & over)
• Excellence in Customer Service (Individual)
The special awards to be presented are:
• Norm Brennan Community Contribution Award
• Will McKern Scholarship/Outstanding Construction or Trade Apprentice of the Year
• Chamber Champion.

The winners will be announced at the Deniliquin Business Chamber’s annual gala ceremony, which will be held Friday, August 14. Tickets will go on sale soon.
Winners in aligned categories will go on to represent Deniliquin in the Murray Riverina Business Awards, and possibly on to the state awards.
